An expert guide in museum accessibility will lead visitors to get to know Palazzo Venezia through a multisensory approach. The tour will begin in the garden to recognise among the many species the shaggy barks of Japanese palms, the sweet scent of magnolia blossoms and the serrated leaves of acanthus plants. This is followed by a tactile exploration of the Loggia Grande and the telling of the story of the building's founder, Pope Paul II Barbo. Finally, inside, participants will refine their tactile plantar sense on some of the details of the floors, in order to identify the decorative motifs on the door displays and compare the types, textures and patterns of the different materials used from the Renaissance to the present day. The route was also developed in cooperation with UICI - Unione Italiana Ciechi e Ipovedenti (Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired) in line with VIVE's commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
