Rome from Above. The Patrol Path of Palazzo Venezia

The Thousand Stories of VIVE
- Friday 16 June, 5.30 pm

At the top of Palazzo Venezia is the ancient patrol path. Here the garrison of the complex, sheltered by a battlement still with a medieval imprint, could guard the entrances. Since the need to defend the building ended some time ago, the patrol path now offers visitor a chance to go back in time to enjoy striking and original views, from the drum and the dome of the church of the Gesù to Palazzo Bonaparte, the headquarters of the Assicurazioni Generali and an extraordinary enfilade of the Colosseum, through Via dei Fori Imperiali, ending with the imposing bulk of the Vittoriano.
