A tour dedicated to the collections of Palazzo Venezia: from the works of Giorgione and Vasari to Bernini's terracotta studies, from majolica from an ancient apothecary's shop to 18th-century bronzes, from Oriental porcelain to Prince Odescalchi's armory. The tour follows in the footsteps of Athanasius Kircher and his scattered chamber of wonders, traces the exotic tastes of modern collectors, and recounts the work and figure of Federico Hermanin, the first director of the Palazzo Venezia Museum. In the workshop, students design thematic collections in which to "stage" works, objects and materials of art.
