The visit leads through the monumental halls of the piano nobile to discover anecdotes and curiosities about the great composers and musicians who, together with popes, cardinals, ambassadors and painters, have marked the life of the building in a fascinating itinerary full of musical, literary and artistic evocations. In this way we will hear of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) who in 1770, at just fourteen years old, crossed the threshold of Palazzo Venezia with his father Leopold, a guest of the outgoing ambassador of the Venetian Republic, Niccolò Marcantonio Erizzo, and his wife. Then will follow Gioacchino Rossini, who in 1842 conducted his Stabat Mater for the first time in what is now the Sala delle Battaglie.
