for scientific and Class A journals listed by the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (Agenzia nazionale di valutazione del sistema universitario e della ricerca - ANVUR);

for publications freely accessible by anyone without paying a price (so-called open access);
for the creation of promotional, scientific, educational and informative material for exhibitions and cultural events organized by a body of the Ministry or by public and private bodies for the purpose of valorising the cultural heritage implemented on a non-profit basis.

In application of current legislation (L.14/1/1993, n.4 and smi; Codice dei beni culturali e del paesaggio D.L.22/1/04, n.42 and DD.Lgs.26/3/08, n.62 and n.63 and smi) it is stated:
