On 29 October it will be possible to exceptionally visit the ancient sacristy of St Mark’s Basilica in Rome

Today, 29 September, on the occasion of the lecture "The works of Mino da Fiesole" held by Francesco Caglioti, Professor of Medieval Art History at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in the Sala del Refettorio of Palazzo Venezia at 6 p.m., the public will be able to admire the altar created by Mino da Fiesole in collaboration with Giovanni Dalmata, today preserved in the sacristy of St. Mark's.

Francesco Caglioti's lecture is part of the cycle "Messi in luce (Brought to Light). Paintings and Sculptures from Palazzo Venezia" - curated by Silvia Ginzburg, Full Professor of History of Modern Art, University of Roma Tre - part of the serie “In the Center of Rome. History, Art, Architecture and Music at the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia”, conceived by the director of the Institute Edith Gabrielli.

The visit to the sacristy is made possible thanks to the collaboration between the VIVE and St. Mark's Basilica.
