The main BiASA headquarters is in Palazzo Venezia. The entrance is the main door of the building on the famed Piazza Venezia in Rome.
Here the library occupies mainly the rooms on the ground floor that, opening onto the large atrium, were used as the building’s guardrooms and kitchen in the fifteenth century, those on the mezzanine and the corner tower, which includes the old Torre della Biscia. The spaces in the mezzanine floor coincide in particular with those of the apartment of Pietro Barbo (Pope Paul II) in the cardinal palace, the construction of which began in 1455.
