Itineraries based on cross-disciplinary skills and career guidance
Conveying the museum through social media

In this course, we begin with knowledge of the museum heritage of the Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia, contributing to the students' educational path through an experience capable of combining ‘knowledge’ and ‘know-how’, including as a group. Capable of guiding students' future professional interests, this activity will help develop their next-gen digital skills, aiming for the transmission of culture through new media.

Recreate a lost museum

Founded in Rome in 1874, the Museum of Industrial Art (or M.A.I. in Italian), was disbanded after World War II, causing its artefacts to be distributed among various museums in the city. The PCTO path dedicated to the ‘museum that no longer exists’ is designed to provide students with guidance on the craft skills represented by the objects examined and introduce them to the professional activities related to museum studies and cataloguing heritage. Students will learn through online workshops aimed at virtually recomposing the disbanded collection, selecting some particularly significant objects from a historical and scientific point of view, but above all those with a strong evocative and narrative value.
